THE SEASON SO FAR

Jrue Holiday’s early season was defined by a drastic role shift, morphing from an overworked primary initiator into a hyper-efficient, low-minute veteran assassin. During his heavy-usage October, he completely dismantled the defense on 10/30 vs UTA, posting a massive +20.4 impact score by pairing 27 points on crisp 10-for-16 shooting with eight assists. The heavy workload occasionally caught up to him, though. On 11/04 vs LAL, a brutal 0-for-6 shooting night from beyond the arc dragged his overall value down to a dismal -9.4 impact. Yet, Holiday remained a master at finding alternative ways to influence winning when his shot wasn't falling. He managed only 13 points on 11/11 vs ORL, but still generated a robust +7.7 impact because he relentlessly crashed the glass for seven rebounds and orchestrated the offense with seven assists. By late January, the coaching staff wisely slashed his minutes to preserve his legs, a move that immediately maximized his late-career brilliance.

This midseason stretch was defined by extreme pendulum swings between blistering offensive peaks and brutal shooting valleys. The ugly side reared its head early on 01/28 vs WAS. Holiday clanked his way to 5 points on 2-for-14 shooting, dragging his impact down to a dismal -11.4 because his forced, contested looks actively derailed the offense. Even when his raw scoring totals looked impressive, hidden costs often lurked beneath the surface. Take his 23-point outing on 02/11 vs MIN, where he generated a measly +1.1 impact because it took him 22 field goal attempts to get there, bleeding overall value through sheer inefficiency. Yet, when his jumper actually connected, he morphed back into an elite offensive maestro. He erupted for 35 points and 11 assists on 03/04 vs MEM, posting a towering +32.1 impact by pairing flawless playmaking with a scorching 8-for-11 mark from beyond the arc.

Extreme offensive volatility defined this late-season stretch for Jrue Holiday, as he swung wildly between ice-cold shooting nights and explosive two-way dominance. He looked completely out of rhythm during the 03/10 vs CHA matchup, posting a dismal -10.6 impact score because his forced shot selection yielded just 4 points on 2-for-8 shooting. When his perimeter stroke clicked, however, he was utterly unstoppable. During the 03/31 vs LAC game, Holiday erupted for 30 points and buried seven threes, driving a massive +20.2 impact score through sheer scoring gravity. Even when his jumper vanished entirely, the veteran guard found ways to salvage his nightly value. Take his gritty performance on 03/16 vs BKN. Despite managing only 11 points, he generated a robust +8.5 impact score by crashing the glass for 9 rebounds and utilizing his relentless defensive hustle to disrupt the opposing backcourt.
