THE SEASON SO FAR
Bogdan Bogdanović began the 2025-26 campaign looking completely lost in the starting lineup before finding a much-needed lifeline through a demotion to the second unit. His opening week was an unmitigated disaster. The nadir arrived on 10/26 vs POR, where a scoreless dud on 0-for-4 shooting and poor defensive rotations resulted in a catastrophic -20.9 impact score. Moving to a reserve role eventually stabilized his rhythm and allowed him to hunt better shots against backup defenses. He finally caught fire on 11/15 vs DAL, pouring in 21 points on blazing 5-of-8 shooting from deep to generate a massive +15.3 impact. However, hitting shots did not always guarantee positive value for the veteran wing. During the 11/13 vs DEN matchup, he knocked down three triples and dished six assists, but a complete inability to grab a single rebound dragged his impact down to a concerning -7.4. He remains a dangerous perimeter threat, but these wild game-to-game swings make him an incredibly volatile rotation piece.
A brutal shooting slump and glaring defensive liabilities defined Bogdan Bogdanović's mid-season stretch. Even when he found the bottom of the net during a spot start on 12/19 vs OKC, his 14 points were entirely negated by a -6.8 Impact score. Those hidden costs stemmed from severe defensive bleeding on the perimeter, rendering his 6-for-12 shooting performance completely hollow. Things completely unraveled two days later on 12/21 vs LAL. Erratic shot selection resulted in a miserable 1-for-6 shooting night, zero made threes, and a catastrophic -18.0 Impact. His lone functional outing arrived earlier on 12/12 vs HOU. He managed a +1.4 Impact in that contest not through volume scoring, but by taking highly efficient shots and crashing the glass for five critical rebounds.
Bogdan Bogdanović endured a wildly erratic stretch where his spot in the rotation fluctuated between lethal sharpshooter and total non-factor. Even when his jumper abandoned him during the 02/26 vs MIN matchup, he managed to generate a solid +5.7 Impact score by crashing the glass for six rebounds and dishing four assists to create crucial non-scoring value. On the flip side, his offensive outbursts occasionally masked underlying flaws. During the 03/19 vs NOP contest, he poured in 16 points on efficient shooting, yet barely moved the needle with a +0.5 Impact score. That meager rating stemmed from a complete lack of peripheral production. He tallied just one rebound and one assist over 27 minutes while offering little defensive resistance. Worse yet were the nights he simply took up space, like his brief three-minute stint on 04/05 vs SAC. That outing resulted in a brutal -12.2 Impact score, driven by rushed, empty possessions where he offered nothing but two missed shots.
