THE SEASON SO FAR
A frustrating tug-of-war between elite defensive instincts and severe offensive passivity defined Bilal Coulibaly's opening stretch. When he refused to engage on offense, his overall value plummeted. Look no further than 11/05 vs BOS, where an erratic, passive showing yielded just a single point and a disastrous -12.7 impact score. Yet, Coulibaly could completely tilt a game without ever finding his shooting stroke. During the 01/02 vs BKN matchup, he shot a miserable 2/8 from the floor but still posted a staggering +11.9 impact because he wreaked absolute havoc defensively to blow up passing lanes. Conversely, his higher-scoring nights often carried hidden costs.
